Fly these super helicopters indoors or outside when its calm. Most are virtually ready to fly and complete with radio control unit, batteries and chargers. A brilliant way to get acclimatised to RC helicopter control. All listed are good quality and will last. Plus the spares back up is good, we stock a lot and if we do run out can get them back in the air in a reasonable time.

Commonsense is required! The larger and more powerful the model, the better it will be able to deal with wind but many models are lost when flown in too breezy conditions. Notionally suitable for indoor flying quite some space is necessary although hovering and training with lowel level lift off and landings are achievable.

All models will require careful flight training, manuals should be read and the basics of control mastered before extended free flight is attempted!

The Twister Medevac pays homage to the pilots and crew of the Medevac helicopters that were used for the first time in 1945 to airlift wounded soldiers from front-line positions to hospitals away from the WWII battlefields. Later, several helicopter types were used as Medevac machines during the Korean war with the distinctive Bell 47/H13 taking the lead role in both real life, film and also in people's imagination. Twin stretchers were fitted atop each landing skid so that a pilot could carry two wounded soldiers to safety. Small plastic bubbles were fitted over the front of the stretchers to protect the wounded from further trauma during flight. The distinctive plastic bubble canopy and 'chop-chop' sound footprint on approach along with the stoic bravery of the pilots who flew them have helped to build the well-deserved admiration that so many around the world still feel for this evocative little aircraft and for the brave airmen who operated them. Fail-safe and safe-start The fail-safe cuts power to the main motor in the event of transmitter failure while the safe-start only allows starting when the throttle stick is low–so there is no danger of connecting the flight battery and inadvertently sending power instantly to the motors.
