| > Antics > Radio Control Systems > Gyros | Gyros are critical to the stabilisation of Radio Controlled Helicopters, and can also be utilised in Radio Controlled Aircraft. A gyroscope or gyro for short is a high precision electronic device. Using piezo technology the gyro senses the direction of flight of the model aircraft, and makes subtle adjustments to the rudder Servo if it recognises any deviation from it's course. In helicopters the gyro will automatically apply extra rudder to the model when the head rotation speed increases, which creates counter-torque in the body. If rudder or aileron is applied by the operator, this overrides the function of the gyro until that control is released, then the device will recalibrate itself to the new heading. For complicated stunt flying, or competition flying a heading hold or heading lock gyro is a must, giving far greater levels of stability in this fast moving environment | more | GWS Gyro Piezo 01 NP (4460403) Economical, ideal first gyro, very compact, suitable for most helicopters, simple yo??set up, | | more | Futaba Gyro Piezo G190 (Micro) (G190-003) The new G190 piezo gyro has been
developed for the many small electric
helicopters that are becoming so
popular, being exceptionally small and
light. With its highly impressive
performance, the G190 is also suitable for
use with 30 size I/C helicopters.
| | more | Futaba Gyro Piezo GY401 (GY401) The same size as the GY240, the GY401 has upgraded functionality.
Still
featuring Futaba's AVCS (Active Angular Velocity) heading hold system and
SMM rate sensor the GY401 has a remote gain function.
In addition it also
features servo travel limiter and control delay adjustment.
With high
frequency digital servos now becoming the norm the GY401 has a DS (High
pulse rate) switch for maximum response when used with digital servos.more.. | | more | CSM SL420 Dual Mode Microprocessor Gyro (CSM0026) The SL420 Micro is ideal for the pilot wanting an affordable gyro that offers more performance than a 401, but with a significantly smaller size. With a weight of only 12 grams, the SL420 Micro is ideal for models from medium to larger helis. electric or glow powered such as Logos, Raptor, Sceadu, Venture, and most other machines.
| | more | Ace Models Heading Lock Gyro & E-CCPM Mixer TG6100M (AQ0843) The latest & Greatest from Ace Models, this high performance model helicopter gyro has CCPM mixing built in, allowing for superb aerobatic flying, and auto rotation landings - just in case the engine cuts in a roll! With Heading lock as standard the Ace models TG6100 gyro offers great value.more.. | | more | Robbe Align Head Lock Gyro RCE-550 (RCE-550) Features the travel range adjustment of rudder servo(ATV), can avoid the servo running over the travel range of tail control set, to extend the servo life.Intelligent drift canceling Circuit design, highly precisely figure out the angular velocity inertia, more wide lock range, minimizing rudder neutral position drift when hovering.Dual Mode: Headlock and Standard Rate Gyro.Built-in drift cancel circuit.Temperature compensation circuit.Dual position Normal/Reverse switch for Rudder operating direction.Dual gain control.Apply to analog and most digital servos.Compatible Futaba PCM/JR SPCM/Hitec QPCM Receivers.
Power consumption:Approx.33mA Rating voltage:DC+4~+6V Temperature range:-5??C~+60??C, Dimension:23.5x21x15mm, Weight:12g | |
