These aircraft are supplied as either Ready to Fly or Almost Ready to Fly, meaning that all radio control equipment is pre-fitted, all that needs to be done is to charge the battery, clip on the wings and go and fly!
 |
Flying Radio Controlled Aircraft is a great way to get outdoors for the summer, and there's a model to suit every level of ability. The best place to start is generally with an electric powered 'Fun flight' model, such as one of the offerings from the Hobbyzone range. These flyers come in two main formats, firstly 'pod and boom' versions, with the propellor mounted out of the way behind the wing, and generally incorporating a simple 2-3 channel radio system. The other option for someone coming into the hobby for the first time would be of a more traditional shape, something like the Hobbyzone mini cub, a bit more scale appeal, but also requiring a little more concentration to keep in the air. Whichever style you go for, as a beginner looking to fly in a park or recreation ground it would be best to start with an electrically powered model. With advances in battery and motor technlogy this means that flights of ten minutes or so are easily acheived, and that's ample time to have an enjoyable flight. With many models supplied with 12v in-car chargers there's no need to run home to charge the power pack, that can be done at the flying site. |

Superb Semi-Scale aircraft are now available Almost Ready to Fly from Parkzone. Choose the from the Super Cub aircraft for sedate aerobatics, or a range of classic warbirds including the famous RAF Spitfire, P-51D Mustang and Focke-Wulf 190 for high speed RC dogfighting. Please note that the Parkzone warbirds are designed to offer fast and challenging flying for experienced pilots and are not recommend as a first aircraft for beginners. We advise learning to fly with an Aerobird or Euro Trainer aircraft to ensure a successful transition to the high speed world of aerial combat. Model aircraft should only be flown on calm days - particularly with a trainee pilot - and crashes are a part of the RC flying experience. Please follow the instructions carefully to test the transmitter range before flying and attaching a label with your name and address to the aircraft can improve the chances of recovering a lost plane.
We maintain stock of the most commonly needed spares for these aircraft to get you flying again quickly. | HobbyZone Mini Super Cub RTF (HBZ4800)

Equipped with the safety and security of HobbyZone's exclusive Anti-Crash Technology (ACT), the Mini Super Cub ensures smooth and steady flying right from the start. This smaller version of the HobbyZone classic Super Cub offers true scale-flying thrills with 3-channel control, making it a perfect introduction to the world of RC flight. Anti-Crash Technology utilizes optical sensors and software that constantly monitor the Mini Super Cub's position. If your Mini Super Cub enters a dangerous dive, the software reacts quickly to help prevent a crash while allowing you to regain control. ACT also gives you two ways to fly engaged or disengaged. When it's on, the computer automatically analyzes your Mini Super Cub's flight path to keep it from experiencing precarious drops. After mastering the basics with ACT on, press the control stick on the transmitter (even while in flight) to turn it off. When it's disengaged, the plane is capable of more advanced maneuvers, like loops, rolls and spins.
