These aircraft are supplied as either Ready to Fly or Almost Ready to Fly, meaning that all radio control equipment is pre-fitted, all that needs to be done is to charge the battery, clip on the wings and go and fly!

Flying Radio Controlled Aircraft is a great way to get outdoors for the summer, and there's a model to suit every level of ability. The best place to start is generally with an electric powered 'Fun flight' model, such as one of the offerings from the Hobbyzone range. These flyers come in two main formats, firstly 'pod and boom' versions, with the propellor mounted out of the way behind the wing, and generally incorporating a simple 2-3 channel radio system. The other option for someone coming into the hobby for the first time would be of a more traditional shape, something like the Hobbyzone mini cub, a bit more scale appeal, but also requiring a little more concentration to keep in the air. Whichever style you go for, as a beginner looking to fly in a park or recreation ground it would be best to start with an electrically powered model. With advances in battery and motor technlogy this means that flights of ten minutes or so are easily acheived, and that's ample time to have an enjoyable flight. With many models supplied with 12v in-car chargers there's no need to run home to charge the power pack, that can be done at the flying site. |

Superb Semi-Scale aircraft are now available Almost Ready to Fly from Parkzone. Choose the from the Super Cub aircraft for sedate aerobatics, or a range of classic warbirds including the famous RAF Spitfire, P-51D Mustang and Focke-Wulf 190 for high speed RC dogfighting. Please note that the Parkzone warbirds are designed to offer fast and challenging flying for experienced pilots and are not recommend as a first aircraft for beginners. We advise learning to fly with an Aerobird or Euro Trainer aircraft to ensure a successful transition to the high speed world of aerial combat. Model aircraft should only be flown on calm days - particularly with a trainee pilot - and crashes are a part of the RC flying experience. Please follow the instructions carefully to test the transmitter range before flying and attaching a label with your name and address to the aircraft can improve the chances of recovering a lost plane.
We maintain stock of the most commonly needed spares for these aircraft to get you flying again quickly. | Trimex RC 4Ch Jump Jet Aircraft (HCW8402) Piloting a real Harrier Jump Jet takes some serious skill and the talents of a pilot who can fly traditional fixed-wing aircraft as well as helicopters. Now you can experience the amazing vertical take-off attributes of the Jump Jet for yourself with none of those pesky hours of flight school required. The Hovering R/C Jump Jet is one of the most unique R/C vehicles we have had the pleasure of flying. You get amazing precise 4-channel control with vertical take off & landing and airplane like flight. You can even maneuver accurately in tight spaces if you've got the guts. The built in solid state accelerometer keeps the Jump Jet rock solid while hovering and maneuvering. You'll want to learn to take advantage of all four channels; One channel allows up/down movement, another channel rotates right/left while the third channel moves the plane backward and forward. However the real key is the fourth channel that gives you right/left strafing. Imagine playing a helicopter based FPS shooter and you get the idea. The built in automatic trim means no trim dials or buttons to adjust. Simply power-cycle the remote before your flight and the Jump Jet auto trims itself using the accelerometer as a reference. Seriously, this is one of the best flying, most fun R/C toys we have ever seen.
Flying Tips:
Auto trim the Jump Jet before each flight by power cycling the remote.
New pilots may find it easier to use the right/left controls on left stick for rotation, then push the right stick forward to move forward when pointing in the direction you want to go.
Make note of the "EZ" switch on the remote. When this switch is on, it prevents you from making fast maneuvers that may send the Jump Jet out of control.
