| > Fun Flight RC Aircraft | These Almost Ready to Fly (ARTF) aircraft require simple assembly of the fuselage and wings. Charge the battery and you're ready to fly! The high wing Firebird and Aerobird aircraft are recommended for new flyers. These forgiving aircraft allow you to master the control of RC aircraft, building the skills required to successfully transition more advanced aerobatic aircraft. Model aircraft should only be flown on calm days - particularly with a trainee pilot - and crashes are a part of the RC flying experience. We maintain stock of the most commonly needed spares for these aircraft to get you flying again quickly.
Please follow the instructions carefully to test the transmitter range before flying and attaching a label with your name and address to the aircraft can improve the chances of recovering a lost plane.
Superb Semi-Scale aircraft are now available Almost Ready to Fly from Parkzone. Choose the from the Typhoon light aircraft for sedate aerobatics, or a range of classic warbirds including the famous RAF Spitfire, P-51D Mustang and Focke-Wulf 190 for high speed RC dogfighting.
Please note that the Parkzone warbirds are designed to offer fast and challenging flying for experienced pilots and are not recommend as a first aircraft for beginners. We advise learning to fly with Firebird and Aerobird aircraft to ensure a successful transition to the high speed world of aerial combat. | HobbyZone Firebird II ST Ready to Fly Fun Aircraft (HBZ5500)
One of the easiest ways to get into flying the ready-to-fly Firebird IIST uses just two sticks—the left for throttle and the right for steering—plus software which adjusts control inputs to keep you flying. You can be up and flying solo your very first time out of the box. It’s that easy. Accessories and spares available.
The Firebird IIST features Hobbyzone's Smart-Trak flight control software which analyzes and adjusts control inputs to prevent over-controlling, which can lead to a crash with any other airplane. The result is a smooth, successful first flight with none of the struggle and all of the fun. Once you've mastered flying in Smart-Trak’s Standard Mode, unlock Expert Mode and enjoy extreme maneuverability that’s great for racing around pylons or performing zooming spiral dives.
Everything you need to get flying is in the box! Transmitter uses a 8xAA batteries (supplied) while the aircraft has a Ni-cad battery pack and charger. An instructional DVD is included to help you start flying. Length 23in. wingspan 31in. transmitter range 2500ft. flight time 18mins approx.
Firebird II ST Spares and Accessories can be found here. Order additional batteries for extra flights each day and a spare set of wings to keep flying while waiting for replacements. | |
